Short version
Your files are processed on your own device. TOOOLS does not receive, store, or inspect the documents, images, video, or text you process with the current browser-based tools.
Browser-local processing
Every tool currently offered on TOOOLS runs entirely inside your web browser. When you add a file, it is read locally by your browser and processed by code running on your device. The file is not transmitted to our application servers or to a third party by the tool.
Accounts and authentication
If you create an account, we process the account details needed to provide it, including your name, email address, password hash, verification and password-reset tokens, session information, and account settings. Authentication is provided by Better Auth and stored in our Cloudflare D1 database. You may also choose Google sign-in when it is enabled; Google then provides the identity information needed to sign you in.
Operational analytics and usage measurement
When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics records aggregate page-view information without cookies. We also receive Web Vitals measurements (metric name, value, rating, and page path) to monitor site performance. When you start using a live tool, we may record the tool identifier and a random event ID to produce aggregate usage totals; these events never include your files, input text, or results. A daily rotated hash of the IP address is used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Cookies and browser storage
TOOOLS uses strictly necessary authentication and security cookies to keep signed-in users secure. The current site does not load advertising pixels or behavioral tracking cookies, and it does not use local storage or session storage for tool preferences. Cloudflare Web Analytics is configured to operate without cookies. Because the cookies used by TOOOLS are necessary for authentication and security, the site does not display a cookie-consent banner.
Subscriptions and email
TOOOLS Pro checkout and subscription management are provided by Polar. Polar receives the account information needed for checkout and billing, such as your name, email address, and subscription information. We receive subscription status and period information needed to provide Pro access; payment-card details are handled by Polar, not by TOOOLS. Authentication emails are sent through Plunk, which receives the recipient name, email address, and the verification or password-reset message needed to deliver the email.
Server logs
Cloudflare, our hosting and delivery provider, may keep standard request logs such as IP address, request time, requested URL, and security information for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to the content you process in the browser.
Future tools that require uploads
If we ever introduce a tool that requires uploading content (for example, an AI-powered feature), it will be clearly labeled before you use it, will describe exactly what is sent and for how long it is retained, and this policy will be updated.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page.
